My trip through Iceland started in capital city Reykjavik where I landed and rented a car to be able to cruise around this gorgeous Island. I soon found out that this country is nothing like any other place I had ever been to before and nature here is so pure that it seems unreal.

From Thingvellir we had finally reached Reykjavik, the capital city of Iceland and our final travel destination after an incredible journey along the south coast of Iceland.

We had great weather during our stay in Reykavik which made our stay even more pleasent.

We did a lot of adventure travel in Iceland and places like Thingvellir and many others are perfect for just that.

Thingvellir, or Þingvellir in Icelandic writing, is known for its gorgeous Þingvallavatn Lake and the remains of the original parliament of Iceland which was founded in 930.

The Thingvellir National Park actually was founded to protect these remains...

From Skogafoss our Iceland tour continued on the road northwest to Strokkur where we went to visit the famous Stokkur Geyser before heading to our final destination and the capital of Iceland, Reykjavik.

The Strokkur Geyser is a nice place to visit in the southwest of Iceland as it is home to a stunning landscape, some lost mud pools and of course the miraculous geyser.

The Strokkur Geyser is toured a lot because it's one of the last natural geysers which erupts frequently and can be visit by tourists.

The maximum height of the geyser's eruption is around twenty...

From Vik, the southernmost tip of Iceland we drove east towards Skogar for a day trip to the Skogafoss Waterfall, one of the biggest falls in Iceland and a popular touristic attraction.

Driving along the south coast of Iceland we stopped in a lot of small village where we made day trips and did some sightseeing before driving to the next town.

The choice to drive to the small Icelandic village of Skogar was easy and we were really excited about the Skogafoss Waterfall hike we had planned.
