We leave the U.S. Virgin Islands behind to head off to our next travel destination, Anguilla. Anguilla is a small island in the Caribbean sea, north of St. Martin and like the Virgin Islands and the islands we are still to visit on our island hopping adventure, part of the Lesser Antilles. Most people visit Anguilla on a day tour from St. Martin but we'll be travelling in the opposite direction, cruising down the south from Anguilla to the islands of St. Martin and St Barthelemy. Anguilla is known for its curious dolphins and beautiful marine life, especially around Scrub Island, north east off the main island and in the waters of bays like Little Bay, Shoal Bay and Maunday's Bay, also popular for its dreamy Cap Juluca Beach. To get around on the island we rented a jeep at a local Avis car rental company, since we've always had good experiences with this company. After getting used to the driving on the left side of the road, Anguilla is a British overseas territory, we felt completely at home and ready to explore the island! The time spend on Anguilla seemed to fly and after a week filled with snorkeling excursions, relaxation on the beach and an amazing tour on board the Chocolat catamaran sailing along beautiful places like Prickly Pear, Sandy Island, Isaac's Cliff, Meads Bay, Long Bay and Sandy Ground, it was time to leave this Caribbean gem behind. Did you enjoy The Bays and Beaches of Anguilla and have you been on a holiday in The Valley, Anguilla?
