Melbourne is one of my fave cities in the entire world and completely different from surfer cool Sydney with its gorgeous beaches and crazy party scene.
Melbourne has a great vibe a offers an incredibile mixture of all kinds of cultures displayed in all kinds of arts, neighbourhoods and nightlife.
Besides the heart of Melbourne as a city it has so much to offer byt what about the breathtaking surroundings?
The Great Ocean Road, The Grampians National Park or the Alpine National Park, they are all a drive away and simply part of the endless list of great day trips from Melbourne that you can undertake!
The perfect idea would be the approach Melbourne via the Great Ocean Road and drive that in two days with maybe a stayover in Lorne of another beach town and then enjoy 4 sizzling days in Melbourne city where you'll discover great food and great pubs to hang out at. O and don't forget to get your hands on a tourist guide because like I sad Melbourne is the place to be as for artsy galleries and innovative events.
Then pack your bags for a day trip to the Grampians National Park like we did, see pictures below, and get back to nature, completely. Maybe you'll even visit Halls Gap. Hiking, climbing, mud pool bating, rock carvings searching and enjoy the amazing views, you can do it all at the Grampians!
You could spend another good night's sleep back in Melbourne before you'll travel further down under, God I love this country!
Did you enjoy Grampians NP day trip from Melbourne and have you been on a holiday in Halls Gap, Australia?
Add your trip!
