Things to see and do in Paris

They say that Paris is the city of love and romance because of its enchaunting historic centre and refined taste. A visit to this beautiful city will convince you rightaway and make you one of its many admirers!

My six days in Paris weren't enough to see everything I wanted to see because for somebody as passionate about architecture and art like me there is so much to see and so many places to visit.

I tried to fit as many attractions, monuments and art works into our six day itinerary and I must say that, thanks to Paris' great public transport network, I managed to see a lot of this huge city!

Getting around in Paris is easy and within a few metro stops you can get across the city. Nothing can erase the memories I have of the beautiful buildings alongside the streets or the panorama of the Seine by night. Visiting the Louvre was even better and I couldn't describe standing in front of Canova's Amore e Psiche sculpture or gazing at the Nike of Samothrace.

The satisfaction of admiring a real Van Gogh o Dali' and being so close to some of the worlds most precious art works was amazing! Just as jaw dropping as the Arc du Triomphe from where the city of Paris lies beneath you.

Then of course, The Eiffel Tower! As soon as you get off the metro and you entre Place de Trocadero you will notice losing your breath for a couple of seconds as you stare at this amazing construction.

During the day Paris is full of live but I also enjoyed the silence and peace when you walk around at night and a feeling of wanting to fall in love takes over as you passed the charatteristic streets all accompanied by a thousand lanterns.

There are many things that surprised me about Paris and it would be hard to describe them one by one. I think you just have to see this city for yourself and see how you feel once you have entered the Notre Dame. Believe me, it's stunning! Also if you have the time visit the suburb of Montmartre with all its amazing artists.
