When I think of New York I always get a bit emotional and it reminds me of the amazing time I had there. Since I was just a little kid I always wanted visit The Big Apple and I couldn't wait to finally see that amazing skyline! New York is an amazing city with people from all different cultures coming together in this interesting melting pot. Finally in 2002 I had the opportunity to visit this unique metropolis and I will never forget the moment in which I first set foot on American soil, an undescribable feeling of joy! Together with my brother I spend one week in New York and every single day we walked through Manhatting looking for all the interesting things to see. I couldn't get enough of it and I wish we would have had more time. I actually had to throw my shoes away at the end of the week! The only thing I truly regret about my trip is that I didn't get to see the famous Twin Towers, something which made New York even more unique. Unfortunatey I missed the ocation to see them by planning my trip a year after the awful happening of September 11th, 2001. The strange thing was that my return flight was set on the exact same date but a year later, September 11th, 2002! The airport was filled with security guards and I can't even remember how many check points we had to pass. Anyway, New York is an amazing city and I would recommend it to anybody! Did you enjoy New York a year after 09/11 and have you been on a holiday in New York, United States?
