For our honeymoon to Girba my husband and I stayed at the Fertile Mezraya-Djerba Hotel and it really was a true delight. The hotel room was decorated in a very elegant and romantic way and we had a lot of space as well.

Everything was really clean and comfortable and for those 9 days we really felt so good and we couldn't have been more in love. It almost felt like time stood still...

I didn't get to see very much of Tunisia but I did visit the local markets, something that I would really recommend if you want to taste a bit of the local ways and traditional practices.

It will be a tough job to get your right price from the merchants at the market but with a little bit of practice you will be able to figure out the unsaid rules and ways to bargain for the right...

I was able to make this trip to Tunisia thanks to a competition held at my high school. I registered for a course of eight months to compete with the other students for the highest score. At stake was a trip of nine days to Tunis, the capital of Tunisia.
