Phuket Thailand

Of my two week holiday in Thailand I stayed half of the time in Phuket, probably the most popular travel destination on the coast and a crowded backpackers hub.

But Phuket is not just about heading to the beach or get drunk partying all night long, there are a lot of other things to do that would leave you with a much better travel experience and Thailand memories.

Hua Hin Thailand

Hua Hin is beautiful beach resort town in Thailand about 200 km south of Bangkok. After a 5 day stay in Bangkok we travelled to Hua Hin by bus which took us little over two hours.

You can also reach Hua Hin by train as there's a direct rail route running from Bangkok to the south of Thailand all the way into Malaysia.

The ride to Hua Hin wsa comfortable and the...

Bangkok Thailand

Bangkok is a beautiful city to stay at least a few days in because of the many sites to see. If you have enough time to explore Bangkok and feel like going on a tour you might want to visit the Ancient City of Muang Boran.

The Ancient City lies about a 40 km drive south of the busy city center and truly is an oasis to walk around in.

You can easily rent a cab or...

Kanchanaburi Thailand

The bridge over the River Kwai is a very popular touristic attraction in the Kanchanaburi and usually it's part of a touring package including other sites like the Tiger Temple, the Erawan Waterfalls, a ride on the historic Burma train or a walking tour through Hellfire Pass.

We also decided to do such a tour because these sites tell an important part of Thailand's history and especially...

Ayutthaya Thailand

Ayutthaya lies north of Bangkok and just a train ride away. Eventhough the city was once Thailand's flourishing capital city most travellers aren't familiar with Ayutthaya's beautiful temples.

The temple tours of Ayutthaya are the ancient city's most important drawcard and the best thing would be to ask a local travel guide to show you around.

In one of the many blogs on Thailand on this site I had found the address of Kwanjai and showed my sister the pictures.

We decided to write down the number and actually got to meet her during our stay in Ayutthaya!
