Curacao is the best place if your looking for a exotic beach holiday in the Caribbean, simply because the island is gorgeous, the people so laid back and friendly, but you don't pay as much as most Caribbean travel destinations.

Another good reason for me is that the spoken language on Curacao is Dutch since my girlfriend is half Dutch so it makes things a lot easier for us.

Another great day trip from La Paz is the Valle de la Luna. You could go for just a few hours as it's only 10 km from downtown La Paz but the scenery is one out of a million, especially around sunset.

The Valle de la Luna is definitely what it's name promises and this Moon Valley has a very surreal panoramic from the boardwalk which hangs in between to dramatic cliffs.
