Nakasongola Uganda Nakasongola Uganda Africa

From Kampala, the capital city of Uganda, we drove north to Nakasongola where we would visit the Ziwa Rhino Sanctuary.

Nakasongola is located in central Uganda and the nearest town to the Ziwa Rhino Sanctuary.

Luckily the road leading from Kampala to Nakasongola is an asfalted one so travel time can be reduced to about an hour and a half considering the 116 km ride.

Nakasongola is also located on the same road that will bring us from Kampala to Masindi, the last town before entering the Murchison Falls National Park.

Kampala Uganda Kampala Uganda Africa

As a family we had booked a 13-days Adventure de Luxe Tour with Matoke Tours and were picked up from the Entebbe Airport in Kampala as soon as we landed in Uganda.

After our Southern African adventure travelling through South Africa, Zimbabwe, Zambia, Botswana and now Nambia we had an amazing journey to look back upon and walking through the Fish River Canyon...

Solitaire Namibia Solitaire Namibia Africa

South of Windhoek, the capital of Namibia, we went to Solitaire to prepare for our Sossusvlei desert camp adventure. Solitaire is a small settlement that has little much to offer than a gas station, a post office and a local bar. Nonetheless it is a very common stop on the way to the sand dunes of Namibia.

The Namib Desert is known for its orange coloured sand dunes, curious trees...
