From Osaka we left early to get to Kyoto where we did a morning tour starting with a visit to the To-ji Temple, a Buddhist temple located southwest of Kyoto Station.

To-ji means something like East Temple and together with the West Temple of Sai-ji it formed the gateway to the ancient city of Heian-kyo, or modern Kyoto.

After an 11 hour flight we arrived at Osaka Airport, the city from where our trip through Japan would start. In Osaka we were picked up by our tour operator and driven into the city.

We had arranged this trip to Japan with a couple of friends all passionate about the world championship long distance ice skating held in Japan that March 2008.

Last but not leat, Ubud. After a long journey and a lot of sightseeing in Indonesia hopping from island to island, this was going to be our finale destination before heading back home.

Ubud is located in central Bali and it's a beautiful place to finish a perfect holiday. There's a lot to see and do in Ubud that you will definitely spend your last days in this beautiful country the way you would want it, enjoying everything!

From Mount Batur we had travelled south to Ubud, not even a 30 km north of Denpasar from where we had booked our return flight via Kuala Lumpur.

We made our last day trip from Lovina Beach to Mount Batur and the gorgeous Pura Tegeh Koripan Temple near Lake Batur.

The funny thing was that as we arrived at the temple a large procession was going on, making our trip to Mount Batur a little but more special.

From Bedugul we drove back to Singaraja where we stopped for a fresh coconut drink and decided to accept our driver's offor to visit the Pura Meduwe Karang Temple, about 10 km east of Singaraja on the coast road.

We had to drive back in western direction to get to Lovina Beach where our hotel was at but we were happy to take another detour and visit one of the most impressive temples...
