After visiting Tibet and Nepal I continued to travel southwards and heading to Varanasi in India where I would spend my next two months of sightseeing and culture sniffing.

Varanasi is a chaotic place compared to the peaceful hills of Nepal but to me it had its own charm and of course you should not be claustrophobic nor allergic to different smells because it's one sizzling place.

Spring is the best time to visit Japan if you ask me and not only for the weather but also for the beautiful cherry trees and great outdoors events.

I also managed to book a rather inexpensive flight in advance with Emirates Airlines and had a great flight to Tokyo where I spent my first week. I guess you will definately need a week to explore Tokyo but make sure to divide your days...

Chengdu in Southwest China is known for its Panda Reserve and a beautiful city in general that a lot of people visit on their way to visit Tibet or other places in China.

Besides the Chengdu Giant Panda Breeding Research Base which is probably the number one tourist attraction in Chengdu and China as well because of its amazing programmes there are numerous of interesting places...

From Tibet I drove into the Central Region of Nepal to spend another two months exploring different cities.

One of the first places I encountered was Bhaktapur not too far from Kathmandu and reached by driving down south the Araniko Highway and the Arniko Highway

From Bhaktapur I visited Kathmandu and Patan the two main surrounding cities to its west.

Some travel experiences will mark you for the rest of your life and I have no doubts about the fact that the world is filled with stunning destinations but my journey to Tibet has simply blown me away.
