In February me and my wife enjoyed an unforgettable journey and spend a holiday of ten days in St Petersburg, probably the most fascinating city in Russia as for architectual wonders.

After arriving in St Petersburg we checked in at the Park Inn Hotel, also known as the Pribaltiskaya Hotel but since my Russian isn't what it's used to be I will stick with the Park Inn;)

During my eight days in Beijing, where I travelled to for business, I managed to see a lot of this beautiful city and really got a taste of China eventhough my schedule was rather tight.

There's at least one day trip in Beijing that you should sign up for and that's the one to the Beijing Zoo, one of the best places to spot the native panda!

From Siem Reap we travelled to Phnom Penh, the largest city and capital of Cambodia. The hopped on a bus and enjoyed the scenic ride all the way to Phnom Penh as travelling by bus is the perfect way to blend in with the locals and enjoy the rural scenery.

The bus was spacious, clean and even had air conditioning so we were really happy with that! Upon arrival in Phnom Penh we headed to the Narin 2 Guesthouse where we would be staying for the next couple of days.

After a good night's sleep at the Dead Fish Guesthouse in Siem Reap we woke up bright and early for our first day of temple sightseeing in Cambodia.

Throught the hotel we had arranged for a tuk tuk temple tour, that is the girl at the front desk had called a tuk tuk service she knew to help us out on our first day around Siem Reap.

From Bangkok our bus trip took us into Cambodia where we started to drive in direction of Siem Reap, the city to stay in if you want to visit the Angkor region with its beautiful temples.

In Siem Reap we stayed at the Dead Fish Guesthouse, a beautiful bamboo built Hotel with a very friendly staff and some curious pet animals kept beneath the first floor..
