One of Melbourne's most artistic neighbourhoods is Fitzroy. You can easily get here by tram which stops at the beginning of Fitzroy's main street, Brunswick St. If you hop off here you can stroll along all the great boutiques and cafes and then hop on again at the end of Brunswick St.

Even if the artistic and creative style of most of the clothing shops isn't your style it still is a great neighbourhood for taking pictures. After a long and gorgeous Great Ocean Road trip we drove up to Geelong and straight on to Melbourne. Everybody told us that either you love Melbourne or you love Sydney but I seriously don't think that theory is valid anno 2009 because I have the biggest expectations of Sydney but O my do we LOVEEEE Melbourne!

After a short stay in Warrnambool we started the long expected Great Ocean Road drive in direction of Apollo Bay where we would take a break on our route.

Before starting our long expected Great Ocean Road drive we spent the night at Warrnambool which sits at about 12 km west of the Great Ocean Road.

From Portland we drove to Port Fairy for a short break and some grocery shopping. Port Fairy is a really nice and little seaside town with lovely shopping lanes and a small harbour.

In Portland we stayed at a great place, the 4 star Seaescape Bed & Breakfast. This is the only place where we arrived without booking accomodation and eventhough you can book all kinds of trips and rooms with the local visitors centre we drove up to Portland from Robe and got there around closing time which wasn't ideal because you don't want to spend your time driving around the place looking...
