Fakarava Beaches, Tuamotu Islands Fatu Hiva French Polynesia Oceania

The Pacific always fascinated me for its endless ocean water and beautiful places untouched by tacky tourist attractions. With a group of five friends we decided to sail to the Tuamotu and Marquesas Islands which are part of French Polynesia and loacted between South America and New Zealand.

We departed from Porto Lucia in Salinas, Ecuador and after 19 days of sailing, 3500 miles...

French bakery in Brisbane Brisbane Australia Oceania

From Byron Bay we drove to Brisbane and we were just in time for the wednesday market on Brisbane Square. The whole square was filled with fresh produce stands and nice eateries where you're able to taste the dips and cheeses before deciding to buy them. We had some freshly squeezed orange jus and bought some french bread and croissants to fuel up for the day.

The Brisbane markets are also a great way to get to know a bit more about the locals and see how they interact when it comes down to finding good bargains. Once you're done shopping on the colourful markets you will be ready to explore Queen...

Byron Bay Lighthouse, NSW Byron Bay Australia Oceania

Cape Byron is Australia's most easternly point and a great place to look out over this seaside town. From town you can drive up to the Cape Byron Lighthouse but the best thing to do is to park your car at the parking space down hill. You might have to walk 2 minutes up hill but parking up hill on the Cape Byron Lighthouse ground will cost you 7 dollars if you're by car and 3 dollars if you want to park a motorcycle. This 5 star parking space is open from 8 am and is watched by a real guard though..

Once on Cape Byron the views are amazing and you will be able to see the entire coast line of Byron...

Sydney Wildlifeworld in Darling HarbourS Sydney Australia Oceania

Darling Harbour is one the nicest parts of Sydney and a great place to escape some of the chaotic city life. You can reach Darling Harbour by bus, ferry or metro but the best and fastest way to get here from the CBD would be by monorail. Just buy a ticket on one of the stations and get out in front of Darling Harbout. Not to worry if you forget to get out because this city skytrain will keep going in circles all day.

Darling Harbour is a waterfront harbour esplanade and park built around Cockle Bay. There are a lot of interesting things to do and see in the Darling Harbour area and the best way...

I have been considering my first trip to Australia and I figured out that Australia’s Northern Territory and Kings Canyon would be the perfect spot : right in the middle of the desert – perfect to test 4WD tours –, location of the so famous Uluru (or Ayers Rock) – major in the Aboriginal culture –, and definitely a place to forget how rainy and grey Western Europe can be, especially London....
